WONDERING THE WASTE LANDS V2
WONDERING THE WASTE LANDS V2
(Verse 1)
Walking alone all these years out,
Wondering the waste lands of life, no doubt.
Struggling the battlefield, mind's endless fight,
Carried a heavy heart through the darkest night.
(Verse 2)
Felt the darkness deep in my soul's hold,
Struggled through sadness, nowhere to be told.
Hated to see all the pain and the sorrow's sting,
Prayed to God in heaven for what tomorrow would bring.
(Verse 3)
Never did I see, little did I know then,
Truth would show me what I needed again.
Feeling unworthy, fallen from grace's high,
Hit rock bottom, just laid there to cry.
(Verse 4)
Down on my knees, head in my hand so deep,
Tears in my eyes, secrets I couldn't keep.
Then I felt the hand, gentle and so true,
Arms wrapped around me, holding me through.
(Chorus)
Sound of my Savior, softly saying near,
"You're going to be alright, have no fear."
It was then that truth told me, after all I've been through,
Jesus did love me, and He loves you too.
(Verse 5)
Time of worry, fears in the fading light,
Through trials and tribulations, I knew with all my might.
It was Jesus through the battlefield, strong and so kind,
That pulled me through, leaving the darkness behind.
(Verse 6)
I could tell you stories that would make you weep,
Times I'd shout at the heavens, secrets buried deep.
If only I could go back to a time I didn't see,
The knowledge I have now, setting my spirit free.
(Verse 7)
Right the wrongs of my past, do right by my friends,
Make better choices, where the journey transcends.
Quiet all the voices that ring inside my head,
Chase away the demons, the heart full of dread.
(Verse 8)
I thought the journey I must walk alone and cold,
Never did I realize, Jesus was guiding me home, behold.
He could have left me lost, in a world without hope's gleam,
But in my times of weakness, He helped me to dream.
(Verse 9)
I tell this story to share a message of Love so grand,
Powerful in glory of Almighty God's command.
When you are feeling down, as low as you can fall,
God never left you, He loved you through it all.
(Verse 10)
You learned so much through struggles in life's dim space,
In the absence of light, finding your rightful place.
Only to return back home, where Jesus embraced you tight,
With all of His might, bringing you back to the light.
(Bridge)
Love never ending, Love so true and pure,
Out of the darkness, forever secure.
God wrote His word on your heart from the day you were born,
That one day you'd return, never again to be torn.
(Outro)
If you are hearing this song, my friend, it's not over,
God is not done with you yet, there's so much in store.
Take that leap of faith, leave behind all regret's sting,
This song is about you, the joy that God will bring.
From my heart to yours, I've been where you now stand,
Come into the light, reach out your hand.
To Jesus, let Him pull you in, hold you so tight,
Hear His soft word fill your heart, "You are going to be alright."
Praise be to Jesus, the King of all Kings above,
And all of the Glory that our God brings with His love.
Listen to His message, as the Angels sweetly sing.
