US Tariff War on China - Press TV

This episode of "Unscripted" features ambassador Cong Peiwu describing the changes that China had already been engaged in before the announcement of "tariff war". It is what Warwick Powell describes as "disintermediation", the realigning and reduction of segments of each chain in the worldwide production and distribution framework. The US seeks to withdraw its participation in this framework, which in essence means replacing the monetary and concept origination aspect of each commercial endeavor. The results will initially be harmful to all and require governments to introduce buffers to soften the impact. But the realignment will actually streamline the system and strengthen it with little or no input from the US.
