Gameplay Part 2

Resident Evil 7 biohazard is the next major entry in the renowned Resident Evil series and sets a new course for the franchise as it leverages its roots and opens the door to a truly terrifying horror experience. A dramatic new shift for the series to first person view in a photorealistic style powered by Capcom’s new RE Engine, Resident Evil 7 delivers an unprecedented level of immersion that brings the thrilling horror up close and personal.

Set in modern day rural America and taking place after the dramatic events of Resident Evil® 6, players experience the terror directly from the first person perspective. Resident Evil 7 embodies the series’ signature gameplay elements of exploration and tense atmosphere that first coined “survival horror” some twenty years ago; meanwhile, a complete refresh of gameplay systems simultaneously propels the survival horror experience to the next level.

In this playthrough we cover:

Main House Continued:
To get the last dog head key and unlock the front door, Ethan heads into the Main House basement and morgue, fighting through Molded and learning more about the Bakers' twisted experiments. He eventually faces Jack Baker in a brutal chainsaw battle inside a blood-soaked morgue. Jack mutates further, growing grotesque limbs and eyes all over his body. After a tense fight using a chainsaw, Ethan finally kills him and escapes with the red dog head. He uses all three keys to unlock the door to the Yard and heads outside.

Old House:
With the Main House behind him, Ethan explores the Yard and finds a trailer that appears to be a safe space and possibly where Zoe has been staying. A phone rings, and Zoe encourages Ethan to press on to find a serum that could cure both Mia and herself.
The trail leads to the Old House, a decaying swamp-side building once used by the Bakers. This area is dominated by Marguerite Baker, who now controls swarms of aggressive insect-like creatures and can summon them from her mutated body. Ethan’s primary objective is to find two lantern hooks and solve environmental puzzles to open a gate leading deeper into the house.
Marguerite appears multiple times, sometimes attacking directly and other times releasing swarms. Ethan locates the formula for the serum.
Eventually, Ethan descends into a strange tunnel beneath the Old House, where he confronts Marguerite in a grotesque boss battle. She mutates into a bug-like monstrosity with elongated limbs and an open, egg-spewing torso. The fight spans multiple levels of a decaying greenhouse-like arena, and Ethan must shoot her until she collapses. Upon defeating her, Ethan retrieves the lantern needed to open a mysterious sealed door earlier in the house.
After returning and using the lantern, Ethan finds a creepy child's room filled with dolls and occult imagery. Here, he finally obtains the D-Series Peripheral Nerve (arm). As he steps outside and returns to the trailer to meet her, she’s not there. Instead, the phone rings—and Lucas Baker answers. He taunts Ethan, claiming to have both Zoe and Mia, and warns him that if Ethan wants to see them again (and get the D-Series Head which Zoe has), he’ll have to play along with Lucas’s twisted games.
