Stage 2 Colt Starting 2nd Ride with Black Stallion

This is where we start doing direct reigns with side pull rope halter and bareback pad.
I let Balboa explore around a bit as well as go over pole and around barrel.
As you can see ,if he tries to trot off or bolt I immediately take his head and then release back when he comes back to me and relaxes.I find this method to work well as opposed to pulling back with both reins and try to slow them down because they can easily lean into the halter,drop head and buck or bolt that way.
I don't want them to think they can spead up at all until I ask.
For some reason my phone camera stopped filming by itself so video was cut short but all went well. No mishaps. Thank Goodness!
