GTA 6 Release Date CONFIRMED! Industry SCRAMBLES to Fill 2025 VOID!

Grand Theft Auto 6 has a release date and it's not coming out this year. Despite announcing at the end of 2023 that it would be in your hands in 2025, Rockstar just confirmed that May 26, 2026 is the new date the gaming world will have circled on the calendar. The reason for the delay is to provide additional polish and provide the best game possible, but given this will put the game over 12 years since the release of GTA 5, the need to soften additional crunch time falls on deaf ears.

Now that the wider gaming industry has a date for the most anticipated game ever, they will be scrambling to fill the void GTA had earmarked for the rest of the year. Expect several announcements to dot the remainder of 2025 through Spring 2026 in the very near future.
