Growing Up Soviet: We Didn’t Even Know What PlayStation Was!

As a kid in the Soviet Union, we didn’t grow up with PlayStation or Sega — we had Dendy.
It was our version of Nintendo, and it meant everything to us.
Blowing into cartridges to make them work, wiggling the cable when the screen went fuzzy — that was the vibe.

The first time I saw Sega? Mind. Blown.
It was a different world.
