US GOVT BOMBSHELL: "Gain of Function" NOW a National Security THREAT! (Bioweapon Risk & Virus Accountability)

The White House has just dropped a HEAVY-DUTY EXECUTIVE ORDER, fundamentally redefining US Biosecurity and National Security! "Functional enhancement" (often known as gain-of-function research) has officially been identified as a US NATIONAL SECURITY THREAT, extending far beyond its previous scope within medical research.

On May 5, 2025, President Trump signed an executive order "Enhancing the Safety and Security of Biological Research"

Stephen Miller, Deputy Chief of Staff of the White House:

First, this involves functional enhancement research.
The so-called "functional enhancement research" is a form of biomedical research in which pathogens (such as viruses) are artificially modified to make them more toxic or change their original functional mode. Many people believe that functional enhancement research, which should have been banned in the past decade, is the key to the Covid epidemic.

The core content of this executive order is:
First, provide powerful new tools to strengthen the implementation of "prohibiting federal funds from supporting foreign functional enhancement research".
Second, further strengthen the regulatory mechanism related to this issue and develop an overall strategy to ensure that the entire biomedical research process is safer and ultimately more effective in protecting human health.

President Trump:
This is a big deal. If such measures had been taken earlier, perhaps we would not have encountered that disaster at all.

Stephen Miller:

Section 3: Stop Dangerous Enhancement Research

Terminate federal funding for dangerous enhancement research conducted by foreign entities in “countries of concern” (such as China)...

Terminate federal funding for other life science research conducted in “countries of concern” or other countries with inadequate regulation that may pose a reasonable threat to public health, safety, or national economic and security...

Section 5: Manage Risks Associated with Non-Federal Funded Research

Within 180 days of the issuance of the order,...relevant departments...shall develop and implement a strategy to manage, restrict, and track all non-federal-funded dangerous enhancement research in the United States, as well as other life science research that may have significant societal consequences.

Section 7. Future Enforcement Provisions

States that if a funder violates the terms of this order or applicable regulations, his or her employer or institution may also be deemed to have violated the provisions;

Provides that if any funder, employer, or institution is found to have violated the provisions of this order or applicable regulations, the relevant federal funding may be immediately revoked and may face a ban on federal life science research funding for up to 5 years, including the Department of Health and Human Services and other related agencies.

Section 8. Definitions of Terms

(a) Enhance the harmfulness of the agent or toxin;

(b) Interfere with beneficial immune responses or reduce the effectiveness of vaccines against the agent or toxin;

(c) Make the agent or toxin resistant to commonly used clinical or agricultural preventive or therapeutic methods, or enable it to evade detection;

(d) Increase the stability, transmissibility, or spread of the agent or toxin;

(e) Change its host range or targeting;

(f) Increase the susceptibility of the human population to the agent or toxin;

(g) Regenerate or resurrect a pathogenic agent or toxin that has been eradicated or extinct.
