Power Cleans and Weighed Hyperextensions

I was very tired yesterday. The weekend was a busy one, and my body needed an extra day of recovery apparently. I was ready to get after it this morning though!

This morning I maxed on my main hip hinge exercise for this new program. I decided to focus on Hang Power Cleans. I still need one more set of plates to be able to push my deadlifts. So, I am choosing to improve my weakest clean variation instead. I'd like to improve my Hang Power Clean to at least 225. This would provide a significant improvement to my overall Clean and Jerk. I was very happy with hitting 205. It will be a great starting point for this block.

I finished off my posterior chain with Zercher Hyperextensions. The Zercher hold is my favorite way to do these. Even with 45's on the bar, you get full range of motion, and with the weight in your elbows you get extra stimulation on your lats which isn't typical for hypers. This will be my main secondary lift.

Today during lunch, I'll be walking the stairs in the office with 40 lbs of weights in my ruck and my 15 lbs slam ball in my hands. It's a cold, wet day. So, inside cardio it is.

This morning's Bible Reading was Isaiah 49, 50 and Matthew 23-25.
