Teach Them to Pray

Have you taught your kids to pray today?
We have been ministering to the youth at the Bartow Detention Center and besides teaching them life and leadership skills we are praying with them and for them. One day we decided to teach them the Lord's Prayer and we then realized that none of them knew it! Through repetition they are eagerly learning it and reciting it with us all together twice during our session. It is a beautiful thing to hear!!
I can't stop thinking about the fact that kids are not being taught how to pray. These youth, ages 11 through 17, don't know how to pray and some are even illiterate.
Let's make the Lord's Prayer Great Again by teaching it our young ones. These boys we have worked with are so glad that we are teaching this to them!!!
I am so grateful that my dad taught me how to pray and this audio link below is precious to me. I was 4 and dad had a new recorder with a microphone in 1965 and he recorded us praying together.
