During the fierce battles, assault units of the 33rd and 255th motorized rifle regiments of the 20th Guards Motorized Rifle Division established control over the settlement of Novoyelenovka (Novoolenovka) and the fortified areas between Tarasovka and Novoolenovka covering the Krasnoarmeysk - Konstantinovka highway.

The enemy's defense in this area could not withstand the onslaught of our assault units.

At first the guys clung to the outskirts of the village, putting the enemy to flight , but the Ukrainian Armed Forces later tried to counterattack and recapture their positions. They failed: our rapid and competent attacks disorientated the enemy infantry.
