“Don’t Forget Us When You’re Famous - Don’t Forget Us While We’re Trying”

Well … in this episode WE had a fun little conversation with Lottie Marie. She hails from Wisconsin, and we played nice. Lottie is a veteran advocate, and she shared her mission and her reasons for what she is trying to get done. She truly has a passion for helping veterans, and works as an advocate for them to get the help they need. A survivor of MST herself, Lottie has the experience of a warrior’s heart and that is what makes her such a great advocate for what she does.
We also had Chuck Wimer on the show. He is fun and enlightening, and does not agree with Petersen about the Shiner Christmas … thats a different story. The 1st song Chuck shared, “Honky - Tonk Christmas”, was written in July, and not really in the mood yet, and then went into the crazy different climates across the state of Texas … from men in Speedos to all bundled up in winter gear in the northern part. In his own words, it is a fun song! Then he shared this 2nd song called “Over Here”, and it was full of heartfelt hope that it will be understood as a song for veterans from veterans. In the third song called “Redemption”, there is a redemptive quality. This was a song released through choice and vote. It is dark, and not Chuck’s style, written by Charice Carter, and it turned out to be a hit. Chuck stuck around for our closing, so we shared a 4th song from him: “Sometimes”. This is about the communication between those you served with and always say you will get with them sometime, and then sometimes never happens. His drummer was a dog handler in Irag and was crushed under a building and his therapy included drums …. Using all parts of the body.
