Ancient Gnosticism vs. Modern Existentialism

I stumbled on this in an article on Gnosticism on the Internet Encyclopedia of Philosophy. It as much points the flaws of ancient Gnosticism, as it shows the correction in modern Existentialism. For this, we have Heidegger, Nietzsche and Sartre, as three important founders of the Modern Gnostic Movement. But it is Heidegger that brings us to an essential examination of our beingness.
