Doctor's Orders

Doug Walsh has been the official Team Doctor for Rio Hondo Prep Football for countless decades. As a Rio alum himself, he understands just how important the program is and why it continues to be so special. Dr Walsh was a key contributor for the 1977 CIF Champions who defeated Montclair Prep in the legendary Triple Overtime thriller. He talks about his days playing along some memorable teammates and what propelled him to become a Physician. Dr Walsh also discusses his 4 year stint as a Missionary in Kenya as well as the challenges that go into tough decisions for treating our student athletes.
