Elon Musk in 2012: I’d Like to Die on Mars—Just Not at the Point of Impact

Here's Elon Musk in 2012 talking about going to Mars.

“In the longer term, perhaps in the 10 to 15 year time frame, I'm hopeful that we'll have a craft that can take people to Mars.

The ultimate goal of SpaceX is to develop the technologies that can take humanity to Mars.

I'd like to go to Mars. I think it would be great to be born on Earth and die on Mars. Just hopefully not at the point of impact.”
