Goff once thought a multiverse could explain fine-tuning. But he changed his mind. Why? Because it falls into the inverse gambler’s fallacy.

It’s like walking into a casino, seeing someone win, and assuming tons of people have already lost. You can’t infer that. Likewise, seeing a finely tuned universe doesn’t mean infinite others exist. That’s bad reasoning—and Goff knows it.
