When God Must Make Sense to Me: The Hidden Idolatry

It is not wrong to seek 🔍 God. In fact, we are commanded to. But it becomes dangerous when we approach Him on our own terms—through our senses, emotions, or intellect alone—as if He must fit inside our mental framework. When we require a God who makes sense to us, who aligns with our ideology 🗂️, our science, or our feelings, we’re not really seeking the true God. We’re constructing a version of Him that we can control—a god smaller than our own minds 🧠 and hearts ❤️. That’s not faith; that’s self-worship. The real God is bigger, wiser, and beyond comprehension. And that’s exactly why He’s worthy of worship.
