In Luke 19:11–27, Jesus tells the parable of the ten minas to correct the mistaken expectation that the kingdom of God would appear immediately. Instead, He teaches that while He is away—like the nobleman traveling to a far country—His followers are to “occupy until He comes.” This parable makes clear that each servant (each believer) has a responsibility to use what God has entrusted to them for the advancement of His kingdom. Faithful stewardship is commended with greater responsibilities, while fear and laziness are condemned. The one who buried his mina out of fear is rebuked as a wicked servant and loses what he was given. The lesson is sobering: inactivity or unfaithfulness in God's work has consequences, and refusing Christ’s reign has eternal implications.

Jesus presents this parable immediately before His triumphal entry into Jerusalem, highlighting the contrast between earthly expectations and heavenly purpose. Many anticipated a political takeover, but Jesus emphasized spiritual accountability and civic responsibility. This message directly challenges both religious leaders and everyday believers. The politically appointed religious establishment (PARE) had focused on outward appearances and control, failing to see themselves as learners of God. Their pride caused them to miss the heart of God’s kingdom and even to oppose Christ Himself. As the parable shows, God honors humility, stewardship, and obedience—not titles, traditions, or religious showmanship. We are called to apply God's Word to every area of life, including how we influence our communities and government. That’s how we faithfully occupy until He returns.

Liberty Christian Fellowship Church exists to glorify God, through Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and teach how He reveals Himself from Genesis through Revelation, and how we respond to Him as disciples, who can apply His Bible to every aspect of life, including civics!

LCF stands in the gap to advocate for our God-given, “inalienable rights,” which God secures through The 10 Commandments, and which are referenced in The Declaration of Independence, to give us the right to not be murdered, sexually molested, stolen from, lied to nor about, nor have our person’s, people, positions and possessions coveted by evil people who would use government power to deny us the blessings God bestows on us!
