A Departure from the Lord: 1 Samuel 2:12-4:22 | Brent Smith

What a contrast we see between Samuel ministering to the Lord before Eli (2:11)
and Eli’s sons who were corrupt and were abusing the ministry of the Lord. What
a sad testimony this was. Perhaps Eli was looking at Samuel as a do-over. He’s
seen his own sons how they’ve drifted. But if Eli had been more focussed on
them as he was now with Samuel, perhaps this could have been avoided.
