on the offensive of the RF Armed Forces east of Myrnohrad

The battles south of Pokrovsk resulted in the exhaustion of enemy units engaged in a counteroffensive near Kotlino. The command of the Armed Forces of Ukraine redirected resources to the western flank, perceiving the situation in the east as less threatening.

Simultaneously, following a period of reorganization and consolidation of their forces, the Russian military initiated an offensive operation in the area of Malinovka. The primary objective of this operation was to sever the H-32 highway.

By May 4, on the eastern front, Russian assault groups had successfully traversed the highway and engaged in combat operations on the outskirts of Malinovka. In the western sector, Russian military units advanced along the shoreline of the Mirolyubovskoye reservoir and subsequently entered the central portion of the village that bears the same name.

Despite the enemy's counterattacks, the RF Armed Forces were able to gain a foothold on the reached lines in the Malinovka area, after which the assault on the village began. The military forces also successfully advanced in the southern sector of Mirolyubovka, driving the opposing forces back to the northern outskirts.

By May 3, the attack aircraft of the Russian Federation's (RF) Armed Forces had advanced more than a kilometer along the railway tracks in the central section of the direction towards Novoukrainka.

At the same time, in the vicinity of Kotlino, fierce battles are ongoing in the area of the ventilation shaft of Mine No. 2. This shaft is utilized by the enemy to amass assault units. The Russian military is currently engaged in a tactical operation aimed at securing the outskirts of the village and fortifying their left flank.

The outcome of the recent military engagements undertaken by the RF Armed Forces has resulted in the stabilization of the situation in perilous regions of the frontlines. Concurrently, significant progress has been made in breaching the enemy's defensive fortifications to the east of the Pokrovsko-Myrnograd conurbation. In the future, this may result in a potential threat to the security of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, as it could lead to a reduction in defensive capabilities along the line of defense between Myrnograd and Konstantinovka.
