How I Help Clients Transition to Keto for Brain Health
When I support clients exploring a ketogenic diet for brain health, here’s how we typically begin:
✅ We aim for around 30 total grams of carbs per day, maintained for at least 6 weeks.
✅ The focus isn’t weight loss—it’s about fueling the brain.
✅ I recommend including plenty of healthy fats and using MCT oil to help bridge the energy gap as the body learns to make ketones.
This supports mental clarity and helps avoid that sluggish feeling during the early transition.
Of course, every person is different, and this is just one approach I use when coaching clients through this process.
