Oakley - fifth ride - fourth under saddle 8 May 2025

This is the arena session of Oakley's fifth ride ever which is his fourth ride under saddle. His fourth ride ever which was his third ride under saddle there is no video for because it was way too slick for clay sod arena work - so we exclusively did a trail ride. For this fifth ride which is Oakley's fourth ride under saddle we are again starting in the arena - then ending with a trail ride - this time a much longer solo trail ride which included 2.7 miles of road riding during which we met a couple kids riding bikes coming from the front and a couple cars/trucks passing us from behind. Via getting the horse out on trails and road as soon as they have basically manual steering and manual brakes they start gaining helpful experience which they cannot gain in the arena.

It sounds to me as if something was awry with my bluetooth microphone. It sounds like it is somewhat working but somehow the phone mic is still active and seemingly primary because of how loud the chickens sound at times. Sorry about that technical issue.

Training horses always involves some risk of injury (or even death) to the horse, the trainer, any spectators, equipment used, etc. - this risk is totally your own as you will be making your own judgements on what to do. As with any suggestions on any subject you must weigh them out for yourself and proceed accordingly - at your own risk.

Remember to intentionally, on purpose, learn of God each day by prayerfully reading, studying, and pondering upon God's word each day. Talk to God in prayer as your Heavenly Father who would like for you to be His friend. Find out what He would like you to do for Him as His friend and go and do it for Him as His friend. Yes very intentionally, very much on purpose, become the friend of God. And have a blessed day!!
