FRIENDSHIP WITH THE WORLD

Dear Pastor Bob: Should we have friendships with those who are Pagan, Muslim, Buddhist, or who simply aren’t Christian? What do you think Jesus would say if he saw us breaking bread with such people? Would it be acceptable? Is it unbiblical and should it be avoided especially for protecting your spirit from others who worship other gods and possibly have demons hanging around them? The reason I ask is because I had a friend who was a Wiccan and Witch. She had a lot of bad things going on. She allowed her children to cuss and to act disrespectful towards her in public. She also had affairs behind husband’s back until he found her chatting with other men online through a dating site. She is also Bisexual and once made a pass (or two) at me, but never after that. We became great friends after that, but I feared that she had such evil surrounding her, and with my own past (I used to practice Witchcraft and was very heavily involved in Occult Practices years ago until I went to Jesus and left it all for him and a Christian life). I hoped to share my love of Jesus with her and to hopefully get her to see the light and want to turn away from those things. She never did. I felt a strong urge to not contact her anymore. I am not sure if the Holy Spirit was guiding me since she might have unclean spirits near her and in her life. I have experienced weird things when I messed around with such things myself and felt the presence of evil and darkness. I fell into depression and almost killed myself, but God intervened and stopped that from happening by reminding me that I had much to live for. What do you think Pastor Bob? What would Jesus do with this?
