Melee May is Here! Let's Play Tekken 7!

Tekken 7 is a 2015 fighting game developed and published by Bandai Namco Entertainment. It is the seventh main installment and ninth overall game in the Tekken series, and the first to be released for PC. The game was developed using the Unreal Engine 4, which allows it to be played on multiple platforms, including PlayStation 4, Windows, and Xbox One. Tekken 7 was initially released to arcades in March 2015, followed by an updated arcade version, Tekken 7: Fated Retribution, in July 2016, which featured expanded content such as new stages, costumes, items, and characters. The home versions were released in June 2017 and were based on the Fated Retribution update.

Set shortly after the events of Tekken 6, the plot of Tekken 7 focuses on the ongoing conflict between the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation, and the final battle between martial artist Heihachi Mishima and his son, Kazuya. The game's story is narrated from the perspective of a journalist who lost his family in the war and is writing an exposé on the Mishima Zaibatsu and G Corporation.

Tekken 7 introduces several new elements to the fighting system, including Rage Arts and the Power Crush mechanic, making the game more beginner-friendly than previous iterations. Rage Arts are critical moves unique to each character and only accessible while in Rage mode, which deactivates until the next round. Power Crush performs an attack that can absorb an opponent's hits with the Mid or High property and continue attacking.

The game features an impressive roster of 51 playable characters, including both legacy characters and new additions. Legacy characters include Alisa, Asuka, Bob, Bryan, Devil Jin, Dragunov, Eddy, Feng, Heihachi, Hwoarang, Jin, Kazuya, King, Kuma, Lars, Lee, Leo, Lili, Law, Miguel, Nina, Panda, Paul, Steve, Xiaoyu, and Yoshimitsu. New characters include Akuma, Claudio, Gigas, Jack-7, Josie, Katarina, Kazumi, Lucky Chloe, Master Raven, and Shaheen. Additionally, Tekken 7 includes guest characters such as Geese, Noctis, and Negan.
