It appears the Director has purposely done nothing to prepare for the end of the Lawton private contract. This creates an emergency which allows the Governor to use emergency money to bypass proper legislative channels.it seems that was always the Director’s intent. DOC appears to be broke. He has failed to provide adequate staff and appears to struggle with necessary supplies. How will he staff and supply Lawton? JJ will provide additional information on how JJ believes DOC is covering up murders. Violence continues with numerous assaults on staff and it looks like a couple of deaths. It looks like admin is pulling positions (PENs) again. Reducing more staff, how insane is that! The Merritt Protection bill passed the Senate but thanks to Harpe DOC employees were removed.
