NY bakery creates Pope Leo XIV cookies

Maria Notaro, owner of La Guli Pastry in Astoria, began making Pope Leo cookies after learning he was the first U.S. pope on Thursday (May 8). "When I heard it was an American, I knew I had to make the cookies again," she said. "Those (Pope cookies) are awesome. I just saw them," said regular customer Doug Galli.
