Remember, the French Revolution was secularist and much of the desired end of the revolution was a secular utopia that ended in tyranny. There were no “good guys” in the French Revolution, the corrupt Monarchy, supported by the Impotent Church, vs the godless Secularists who murdered their way into a dictatorship that threatened to take over the World. But the “Right” has really stuck as a term for those who align with the Biblical Traditional values, whether in name or in form only.
