The Vital Victor - The Handley Page Victor Story

Greetings all! :D

This week, we take a look at one of the lesser known members of Britain's auspicious V-Bomber Force, as while the Avro Vulcan would become the face of the UK's initial airborne nuclear deterrent, the Handley Page Victor would work as a necessary backup to ensure a vital line of defence against rising Soviet aggression during the 1950s.

However, even with the loss of the Victor's primary role as a bomber during the 1960s and 70s, the aircraft would go on to provide invaluable assistance as an aerial refuelling plane, and in so doing would ultimately outlive the Vulcan while presenting necessary support during the Falklands War and Gulf War.
