David Moerschel – Neuroscientist, Father, and January 6 Truth Advocate
David Moerschel is a seminary trained Christian minister, crisis chaplain, and medical specialist. He spent his life helping others both body and soul. He and his wife have been married 22 years and have 3 children 9 and under. He went to the Capitol with the Oath Keepers on January 6 in response to a call for help from a medic. He was pushed into the Capitol with the crowd and left as soon as he could. For his 11 minutes in the Capitol he and his family have sorely suffered. He was in some level of federal custody for 2 years, until lately his sentence was commuted by President Trump. A commutation only ends the sentence. It does not restore a person's rights.

Trump commuted the sentences of 14 individuals who were accused of Sedition with a promise to examine their cases more closely. David is urging Trump to issue his Pardon without delay.

David Moerschel is a seminary-trained Christian minister, crisis chaplain, and medical specialist who has dedicated his life to helping others—both body and soul. A devoted husband of 22 years and father to three young children, David is a man of faith, service, and deep compassion.
On January 6, 2021, David responded to a call for medical help at the U.S. Capitol while volunteering with the Oath Keepers. He was swept into the building by the momentum of the crowd, remained inside for only 11 minutes, and left as soon as he could. He committed no violence, no vandalism, and no conspiracy—yet he and his family have endured nearly two years of federal custody, legal persecution, and reputational attack.
Although President Trump recently commuted David’s sentence—along with those of 13 others who were wrongly accused of sedition—a commutation only ends the prison term. It does not restore rights, expunge records, or provide justice. David is now actively urging President Trump to grant full pardons to the “J6 14” and is leading public advocacy to correct the injustices suffered by innocent Americans.
