WATCH: NC Congressman Tim Moore gives a tour of “hidden secrets of the Capitol.”

He’s in the Lincoln Room where he shows us a hidden passageway revealing stairs leading underground just off of Statuary Hall, which at one time was the actual House Chamber.

He says he’s been down there and it goes all the way down to an old staircase. He adds that he’s been told, but can’t verify, that the staircase was one of the staircases that British soldiers used when they breached the Capitol in 1814.
