The Great Theft: What Happens When the Takers Outnumber the Builders
The Iron Quill

“Democracy will cease to exist when you take away from those who are willing to work and give it to those who are not.”
— Thomas Jefferson

And so here we are.

Standing in the ruins of what once called itself a democracy, watching it be strip-mined by technocrats and cowards — not because we ran out of resources, but because we ran out of courage.

This is not compassion. It is confiscation.

And it’s being done not in secret, but in broad daylight, under the sickly glow of false virtue.

They Are Not Helping the Poor — They Are Buying the Lazy
They will tell you this is about helping people.

Lifting them up. Creating equity. Restoring dignity.

Don’t believe a word of it.

What they are doing is this:

They are punishing productivity.

They are taxing effort and rewarding dependence.

They are taking from the builders — the farmers, welders, truckers, mothers, tradesmen, entrepreneurs —

And handing it to bureaucrats, activists, and able-bodied freeloaders.

This is not democracy.

This is redistribution by decree.

This is theft dressed up as progress.

You Were Never Asked — You Were Invoiced
Did anyone ask you if you wanted to fund climate czars and drag queen grants?

Did you approve of giving refugees hotel suites while veterans sleep on the street?

Did you get to vote on whether your taxes should fund digital surveillance under the banner of “inclusion”?

No.

They took.

They always take.

And if you resist, they call you cruel.

Call you privileged.

Call you a threat.

Meanwhile, they grow fat off your labour — writing policy from their taxpayer-funded offices, while the ones who feed the country drown in regulation and red tape.

They Want Obedience, Not Opportunity
This isn’t just about money.

It’s about control.

A man who earns his keep can say no.

A man who feeds his family doesn’t need the state.

A man who stands on his own two feet can’t be bought.

So they break him.

Bury him in carbon taxes.

Crush his business with ESG compliance.

Steal his land in the name of “climate.”

And then offer him a check — so long as he learns to bow.

The Backbone of a Nation — Is Being Broken
You can feel it in the West.

You can hear it in the silence of Main Street.

You can see it in the eyes of men who once stood proud but now bite their tongues just to survive.

Because the message is clear:

Work hard, and we’ll bleed you.

Speak out, and we’ll brand you.

Kneel — and we might feed you.

But There Is Still a Spark.
There are still those who refuse.

Who farm the land anyway.

Who show up to work when it’s easier to quit.

Who teach their sons that sweat is honour, and handouts are chains.

They wear no crown, but they built this nation.

And they will rise again — not through ballots alone, but through resolve, unity, and unbreakable spine.

Let them come for our wages.
Let them come for our land.
Let them come for our voice.
They will soon learn:

You cannot steal the soul of a working people who have remembered who they are.

We are not slaves.

We are not livestock.

We are not here to fund our own destruction.

We are the builders.

And we’re taking it back.
