Far Above Rubies
(The Value of a Virtuous Mother)
Text: Proverbs 31:10-31

Objective: that the brethren appreciate and honor the mother’s as they also contribute in the Lord’s work

Intro:
Define – value, ruby, precious, mother
Verses – virtuous, love mother to child (Isaiah 49:15)

What is the Mother/s Value to Us:?
1. Very Precious – v.10 – far above rubies
a. Rare and therefore valuable - “who can find?”
2. Intimate Confidant – v.11 – heart, safely, trust
a. Trust with good outcome – v.12- long term – ‘all the days…’
3. Producer, Worker – meets our needs
a. vv. 13-16, 18-19, 21-22, 24 - willing worker- industrious – keen with details
b. maintains herself all the while - v22
c. v27 – not idle - 1Timothy 2:14-15
4. She is Strong and our Strength – v.17, 25
a. And yet is a helper of those in need – v.20
5. Brings Honor – v.23 - first to husband
6. Bearer and Dispenser of Wisdom – 26 – mouth, tongue
7. Blessed and Blessing – vv.28-31
a. In the family, community and the Lord

Message/conclusion:
Let us appreciate and honor the mother’s as they also contribute in the Lord’s work
