Teaching asa student for life.

As a pottery teacher I consider myself as a life-long student. Not only a student to teach my specialty porcelain subjects, but also how to bring it to my students. Knowing your students challenges and understanding their needs is sometimes more important than the subject-matter itself.

During my recent workshop tour through South Africa and Europe I worked with potters from all walks of life. Some were much older than me, others came from different cultures and could not understand English well. Then I had Annemarie in my last workshop. She did one of my online workshops some years back (TeachinArt.com), but then she turned completely blind and I did not hear from her again.

I was delighted to meet her in person in Utrecht Nederland during my last porcelain hands-on workshop. For her to get the full experience, she had to see with her hands and to learn through analogies.

I believe all people should learn through tactile experiences and analogies. God gave us more than eyes and ears. We should use all our senses and open our brains to imagination

I my next workshop is from my own studio. I try to present 1 workshop per season and I will do more if there is a need. See details here: https://www.porcelainbyantoinette.com/online-workshops.html#/
