Join me as I sow the first seeds of the season in my UK garden, just after the spring equinox. On this sunny day, I'm sowing parsnips, beetroot, carrots with leeks, and lettuce directly into the ground.
I am trying something new this year. I have mixed the carrot and leek seeds together and broadcast the seeds. The hope is that it will deter the dreaded carrot root fly...
It is my way of companion planting and making the garden look more natural. It should help with the biodiversity in the garden as well.
It's the perfect way to kick off the gardening season, and I'll also share tips and insights along the way. Whether you're a seasoned gardener or just starting, let's embrace the joy of gardening together!
