The Fall Of The House Of Usher - ( Black and White ) - 1950

This low budget, black and white 1950 British version tells the well known Poe story in a somewhat different way.
The film begins with a wrap around story set in a Gentleman's club

In this adaption we learn more about Lady Madeline. We get a bit more of her back story and what may be the cause of her ' illness'. There's the implication she is being poisoned, but by whom?. There are also some out door scenes, adding story line to pad this short film.
The film was made in Hastings England in 1948 by a low-budget company GIB Films but it was not released until 1950.
