Dr. Jay Bhattacharya: Why aren’t rich foreign nations paying their fair share of R&D costs?

Dr. Jay Bhattacharya, director of the National Institutes of Health, says rich foreign countries from Europe and Asia aren't paying their fair share of research and development costs for pharmaceutical companies. “Why does it fall to Americans to pay those R&D costs at such high levels so that our drug prices are so much more expensive than everyone else's? It makes no sense,” he says.
