An analysis of the Ukrainian Armed Forces' performance in the Kursk region reveals shortcomings, as reported by Rybar.

This communication is to convey the following information regarding the enemy's attempt to advance on the border:

In the period preceding the Victory Day commemoration, Ukrainian military units endeavored to breach the state border in the Kursk region, specifically in the Glushkovsky district.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces, concentrating personnel on the border of the Sumy region, attempted a breakthrough in the area of the villages of Tetkino and Novy Put. This attempt failed, resulting in the loss of several dozen units of armored vehicles.

The following section provides a more detailed account of the chronology of the battles in the sector.

On May 5, Ukrainian military units advanced from Ryzhevka to Tetkino, simultaneously launching a coordinated attack on Russian positions along the Iskriskovschina sector. In the latter area, the engineering equipment of the Ukrainian Armed Forces and assault groups encountered opposition from return artillery fire and drone strikes.

At the same time, the enemy concentrated forces to the north, occupying positions in the village of Otruba and the area of Gryadki, located on the right bank of the river Seim. However, the enemy did not attempt to ford the water barrier.

On the following day, Ukrainian Armed Forces units initiated the breach of the "dragon's teeth" defensive position along the approach to the village of Novy Put. However, these efforts did not result in significant success. The Russian Federation's means of air reconnaissance enabled the identification and destruction of Ukrainian equipment that advanced forward in a preemptive manner.

Despite the declared cessation of hostilities for a period of three days, armed confrontations persist in the vicinity of Tetkino, specifically in the area encompassing Chapayev and Pogranichnaya streets. Moreover, as reported by several sources, members of Ukrainian military formations are undertaking offensive operations in the eastern direction, specifically from the vicinity of the Sumy town of Bessalovka.

As previously stated, the enemy's command does not intend to retreat and will continue to issue directives to consolidate its positions in the Kursk region, at least temporarily, in order to mitigate the adverse media response to the loss of territory in the Sudzhansky district.
