Courtney Knill:
Courtney Knill is a lifelong resident of Charles Town, West Virginia, and a candidate for City Council, Ward 3. Passionate about preserving the town’s historic charm while fostering a future where small businesses and families can thrive, Courtney brings both heart and experience to the table.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Business with a minor in Nutrition from Shepherd University, where she graduated Cum Laude and served in leadership roles across several student organizations. Her diverse professional background includes genetic plant research, insurance investigations, marketing, HR, and most recently, advocacy work in the Jefferson County Prosecuting Attorney’s Office — where she supported victims of crime and developed a deep understanding of local law enforcement challenges.
A proud supporter of health, safety, and the arts, Courtney has coached youth sports, led church mentorship programs, and actively participated in community beautification and the arts. She’s a painter, graphic designer, former model, and small business owner who believes in creative expression as a vital part of community well-being.
Courtney’s campaign focuses on transparent leadership, public safety, accessible government, and vibrant community development that honors Charles Town’s rich past.
