I’d make a dreadful Russian spy.

I’m Roger Gewolb and I’d like to take a moment of your time for an important announcement.

Lord Toby Young‘s marvellous Free Speech Union, of which I’m proud to be a Gold member, informed me recently that they had picked up material on the Internet which indicates that I may be some kind of Russian press agent.

The FSU said that albeit highly recommended people I hired to optimise my social media engagement have used my accounts (and many others’, no doubt) to post and repost Russian propaganda.

Apart from being outrageous, this is ridiculous, and I want to state categorically that I am not a Russian agent of any kind nor have I ever been. In fact, I am no one‘s agent (except my wife’s, she reminds me).

There is more to the story and how Russia appears to be using, particularly American, influential broadcasters unknowingly to distribute their propaganda and I am very happy to discuss this.
