On February 1, 2025 David Hogg won the election for Vice Chair of the Democrat National Committee (DNC). Just three months later, after criticizing "old" party members and his desire to primary them on Bill Maher's show, the DNC under the leadership of Christine Pelosi (Nancy's daughter) declared his original election void, with new elections to be held in August.

Hogg will serve as the Vice Chair until the elections.
