Riverside County Sheriff Chad Bianco has issued a warning regarding the potential passage of California Bill AB1333. He stated that if the bill is approved, Californians may no longer be able to legally protect themselves in certain situations. Bianco explained that under this law, if a criminal attacks someone and they defend themselves resulting in the criminal’s death, they could be arrested and charged with murder.

Bianco emphasized that citizens have a constitutional and God-given right to self-defense, but pointed out that California Democrats, including Assembly Member Rick Chavez Zbur from Santa Monica, disagree with this stance. He criticized Sacramento leadership for limiting law enforcement's ability to protect citizens and argued that this bill further undermines Californians' right to defend themselves.

He concluded by stating that Californians deserve better than what is being proposed and called for improved leadership in Sacramento.
