Learn English Through Story
Chapter 1: The Curious Boy
Once upon a time in England, a young boy named Richard Branson struggled in school. He had dyslexia, which made reading and writing very difficult. But Richard was curious. He asked questions. He liked to solve problems. He was not afraid of failure.
“You don’t learn to walk by following rules. You learn by doing, and by falling over.” – Richard Branson
Chapter 2: The Young Entrepreneur
At age 16, Richard started a student magazine. He had no money but he had big ideas. He called many companies and asked for advertising. To his surprise, some said yes! The magazine became a success.
Soon, he started a record store. Then a music label. He called it Virgin Records — because he was new to business. The name became famous around the world.
Chapter 3: The Risk Taker
Richard Branson loved adventure. He also loved risk. He started Virgin Atlantic, an airline to compete with big companies like British Airways. People laughed. But Richard worked hard. He took risks. And he succeeded.
“Screw it, let’s do it.” – Richard Branson
He tried many businesses: trains, phones, even space travel with Virgin Galactic. Not all worked. But Richard never gave up.
Chapter 4: The Philanthropist
As he got older, Richard focused on giving back. He created the Virgin Unite foundation. He worked on projects to fight climate change, support education, and help people in need. He believes business should be a force for good.
“Doing good is good for business — and it feels good too.”
Chapter 5: Lessons from Branson
Richard Branson teaches us:
