Weekly Town Hall – Follow Up Table Discussion - What is the Purpose of a Political Party

Dan Barker, chair of the Bonneville County ‘Democrat’ Central Committee, Mike Colson, current chair of the Bonneville County ‘Republican’ Central Committee (BCRCC), and Nick Contos, former chair of the BCRCC, joined us on March 26th for a table discussion on what is the purpose of a political Party? It was a ver informative discussion but a lot of questions regarding political Parties still remain. Dan, Mike, and Nick will join us again to help address unanswered questions.

As with the March 26th discussion, this IS NOT a discussion of political ideologies and their differences (i.e. Democrat vs Republican). It’s one of what are political Parties, what is their purpose, how should they operate, and whether we should even have Parties?. This is bound to be a very interesting discussion.
