"–The Bible says you have to love everyone.
–Do you love everyone?
–Yeah, actually I do.
–Do you hate cops?
–Yeah.
–I thought Jesus told you to love everyone. They're people just like you.
–Jesus was anti-cop, anti-capitalist.
–How could Jesus be anti-capitalist and anti-cop?
–Have you read the Bible?
–Clearly, you haven't."

The far left has attempted to appropriate the figure of Jesus to justify its anarchist agenda and hatred toward authority, distorting his teachings. One example of this manipulation is the claim that Jesus was "anti-police," an anachronistic and historically false narrative, since police forces as we know them did not exist during his time. This position ignores the central message of Christianity: love for one's neighbor. Jesus preached forgiveness, humility, and even respect toward unjust authorities, as demonstrated by his attitude toward the Roman Empire. Attributing to him modern ideologies like anti-capitalism or opposition to law enforcement is a distortion meant to portray him as a radical revolutionary, when in fact his message was spiritual and universal—not political or violent.
