Numbers 17

In this chapter, God is trying to settling the leadership discussion. The people haven't been happy where they were, where they were supposed to go, or where God was having them go.

God was sick of them thinking they knew better and not listening to his leaders, so He was giving them a physical representation of who He was leading them through.

They gathered 12 staffs, and Aaron's was the one that budded, indicating that he was who they should follow. The staff was kept in the tabernacle, in the Holy of Holies as a reminder for anyone who would want to question things again.

Then, the people finally got it. They finally feared God and wondered how they'd be able to approach God without dying.
