E11 - Michelson Morley 360: The Real Answer From Every Angle. Ask Us Whatever.
Joe Sorge takes viewers through an explanation of one the most important and misunderstood experiments involving the speed of light, the Michelson Morley experiment. While Einstein believed light speed had to be constant under all circumstances, Joe shows us that light speed does not need to be constant if you eliminate the notion of an ether from the model of how light propagates through space. In this episode Joe demonstrates that light can appear to move at a constant speed in all directions in a moving reference frame, yet at the same time travel at direction-dependent speeds through space. In other words, traveling faster than speed c through space while appearing to all observers in all moving reference frames to travel at speed c in all directions within their reference frames. Intrigued? Watch the full episode.
