I wrote song for Mom in memory of my departed mother, Dorothy Hartman, who I lost 16 years ago. For me the song documents the trials and struggles of a mother and the impact she leaves on her children. God Bless You Mom.

I hope you enjoy this song and as always, thanks so much to the people who have supported my videos. Please consider liking or subscribing so that I can grow this channel and build an audience of like minded followers.

Lyrics to Song For Mom

Lyrics to Song For Mom

Verse 1
You did so many things
I never thanked you for,
You never complained
Even when I wanted more.
Such skill and grace
That only comes the years,
I'll never taste no more of your pies
And that's what brings me...
Brings me to tears.

Chorus
Can't believe you're gone
And I'm singing this song to you mama
Repeat

Verse 2
Never paid for your work,
But you were with me each day;
A helping hand to guide
Each step along the way;
You were never afraid
And you never showed fear,
Leaving me to wonder
Why you cried your...
Silent tears.

Verse 3
I cried at your funeral,
But then the priest said;
Though you weren't alive,
In fact you weren't dead.
I spent my nights wondering,
Waiting for signs;
Then I learned you can't explain
The workings...
Of a mind.

Verse 4
Now you come back to me,
In the gentlest breeze;
I remember your words
And it gives my heart ease.
The world that you built,
I see it each day;
I see it in my children
And the things that
Go away.
