Warriors, true warriors, only fight for one thing. Honor and glory It might be personal honor and glory, or it might be for the honor and glory of the tribe or clan. But at its most basic warriors fight for honor and glory. They fight to win.

Because of that, warriors can be somewhat predictable. They can be reasoned with to a degree. Even a symbolic victory can temper a warrior’s ire. Anything less than a loss of standing can be tolerated among warriors.

Humans are not warriors. They do not fight for honor or glory. They do not even fight to win. When humans fight they fight to make their opponents lose. They will consign themselves to flame as long as they do not burn alone.
