Is Jesus Standing or Sitting | And What Could It Mean About Imminence?

In this video we discuss something that I’ve never heard discussed before in my entire life. It began with a question posed by one of my subscribers. The person asked: “In your opinion is there any significance between the fact that Jesus after his ascension to heaven 'sat' at the right hand of the Father (as we see in Mark 16, which says: 'So then after the Lord had spoken unto them, he was received up into heaven, and sat on the right hand of God.') – as well as what we see in Acts 2 in Peter’s sermon on the Day of Pentecost, where he said: 'The LORD said unto my Lord, Sit thou on my right hand, until I make thy foes thy footstool' versus the statement of Stephen in Acts 7, where in verse 56, Stephen says: 'Behold, I see the heavens opened, and the Son of man STANDING on the right hand of God.' Do you think that this is something worth addressing, or does it not really matter whether the Lord Jesus was sitting or standing in these passages?"

In other words, what is the difference, if any, and why was Jesus sitting first but then by the time Stephen sees his vision, Jesus is now standing. Does it matter, and what could it mean, if anything? I’m going to give you an interesting possibility that I’ve never heard anyone else articulate or suggest. It came to me while I was thinking about this question. By no means am I saying this is certain, but I share it with you so that you might consider it as a possibility.
