Key Points
1. Purpose of the Offering (vv. 1–17):

Unlike the burnt offering (which was wholly consumed), the peace offering was shared—part for God, part for the priest, and part for the offerer.

It symbolized fellowship between God, the priesthood, and the worshiper.

2. Acceptable Animals:

From herd or flock: male or female, but without defect.

Blood was sprinkled on the altar, and fat portions (the best part) were burned for God.

The fat and blood were not to be eaten—they belonged to God (vv. 16–17).

3. Symbol of Peace and Thanksgiving:

Often offered in times of gratitude, fulfillment of a vow, or freewill expression of love for God.

It was a celebratory meal, highlighting joy and communion.

Spiritual Lessons
True worship involves sharing and community—it’s not just personal but relational.

God is the source of peace, and worship celebrates restored relationship.

We must honor what belongs to God (e.g., blood and fat) and give Him the best portions.

Christ Connection
The peace offering points to Jesus, our Peace (Ephesians 2:14), who reconciles us with God and unites us in fellowship with Him and others.
