1. Specific Sins Requiring a Sin Offering (vv. 1–13):

Failure to testify when under oath (v. 1)

Touching unclean things (dead animals, human uncleanness) (vv. 2–3)

Careless or rash oaths (v. 4)

➡️ Response: When the sin is realized, the person must confess and bring an offering for atonement.

2. Sacrifice Based on Economic Ability:

Female lamb or goat

If poor: two doves or pigeons

If poorer still: a tenth of an ephah of fine flour (without oil or incense)
➡️ God makes a way for everyone, regardless of their financial status.

3. The Guilt Offering (vv. 14–19):

For sins involving misuse of holy things or deception toward others

Requires:

A ram without defect

Restitution plus a 20% (one-fifth) penalty

Spiritual Lessons
Confession is key to restoration—sin must be acknowledged.

God’s justice includes restitution—not just forgiveness but also repairing damage.

God provides for all people to come to Him, regardless of wealth or status.

Christ Connection
Jesus is both our Sin Offering and Guilt Offering (Isaiah 53:10). He not only forgives our sins but restores what was broken and lost by sin.
